I got the fourth season of "The Simpsons" DVD set...Mmmm. Simspons. BUt I can't freakin' watch it because I'm making a stupid unit test for honors kids and writing an 8 page paper for a pointless class I have to take, all before tomorrow at 6:40 AM. School sucks.

Allo.

I apologize most sincerely for not blogging in a ril ril long time. To those of you who were promised a vaguely religious / vaguely secular Christmas card, SEND ME YOUR ADDRESSES! To the rest of my dear out of town fiends (yes, fiends) I saw at the blessed event on October 8th--send me your addresses, and plz specifiy your "winter holiday" preference:

1.) Christmas
2.) X-mas
3.) Channuka
4.) Hannuka
5.) Ramadan
6.) Kwaanza

**Please note: If I can't find cheap cards for options 3 through 6, you're getting a Christmas card. Covert or die heathen bastards.**

Teaching is so hard. I'm not very good at it. When the likeable kids are naughty, I laugh, and when the unlikeable kids are a little difficult, I get cranky. I can't relate to kids who hate to read, never come to school, have children with tiny, weenie-ish high school boys, and wear those stupid shirts with the clear bra straps on one side, like a clear plastic bra strap somehow creates the illusion that their left shoulders are magical anti-gravity zones.

I stepped in gum today and I thought, "The damn KIDS!"

So-- either I need to pull a bad late 90's Drew Barrymore movie and enroll in high school, or kids need to start being more nerdy.

P.S. I read The Partly Cloudy Patriot by Sarah Vowell, and I heard on "This American Life" that she's one of the voices on "The Incredibles." Wouldn't it be awesome if NPR and Pixar merged and created a completely insane nerd empire of computer animated radios shows, like "Fresh Air" with an animated version of Terry Gross sitting in front of a microphone...
